Despite the emotional subject matter, this film can only be described as dull. As the audience knows that South Africa is going to win, the film struggles, and fails, to foster more than a dribble of dramatic tension. Matt Damon is good but under-used. Morgan Freeman is just about believable as Mandela but the role is let down by a weak script. Definitely one of Clint's most disappointing directorial offerings.

a slow burner and one for those sleepy sunday afternoons.
The movie itself is overall dissapointing with very little plot development and even less actually grabbing the viewer.
My advice wait till it comes on telly ..sit down with loads of tea and toast, watch and forget
