Centenary Fireworks
The Cambridge Centenary Fireworks display will take place at Midsummer Common. Although the event is free due to sponsorship from the Marshall of Cambridge, fireworks displays aren't cheap so donations are welcome and organisers hope that everyone will give at least £1. As well as the fireworks, which start at 7.30pm, there's a funfair from 6pm - 10pm. After the fireworks the bonfire will be lit.
7th November 2009
Wilburton Fireworks
There's another firework spectacular in Wilburton Village. To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the lunar landings the display, which is set to music, has a Walking On The Moon theme. As well as fireworks there's a bonfire, fairground, barbecue food, hot and cold drinks, bar, disco music and novelties. The display takes place at Wilburton Recreation Ground and parking is available but to avoid queues you'd be wise to walk. Tickets cost £5 for adults or £2.50 for children and under-fives go free. Gates open at 6pm and the fire will be lit at 7.15pm followed by the fireworks at 7.30pm.
Linton
If you live outside Cambridge, fireworks displays that are equally spectacular include the Linton Fireworks Display. This display has been going for 20 years and as well as fantastic fireworks, there's a bonfire, a Guy competition, barbecues and other refreshments. It's held at Linton Infants School and doors open at 6pm. Tickets cost £4 or 10 for a family ticket.
Impington Village College
At Impington Village College they're holding a bonfire and fireworks display. Gates open at 6pm and the fireworks start at 7pm. There'll also be a barbecue. Tickets cost £4 for adults or £1 for children and family tickets are £8.
Cambridge fireworks displays take place on or around 5th November 2009.
