Where
Midsummer Common
The Midsummer Common fireworks display is the county's biggest display and it's still free thanks for sponsorship from the Marshall of Cambridge. Pull on your woollen hat and gloves and get ready for yet another fantastic fireworks night in Cambridge.
State Of The Art
The Cambridge Centenary fireworks display will yet again take place at Midsummer Common, lighting up the skies over the city with a fantastic pyrotechnic show of around 1,200 fireworks. It's choreographed using state-of-the-art computer firing so it will be an awe-inspiring display.
Donations
Although the Midsummer Common fireworks display is free due to sponsorship from the Marshall of Cambridge, organisers hope that the crowds who turn up for this annual display will dig deep in their pockets. They hope that at the least everyone who attends will be able to spare a £1 donation to help cover the costs.
Funfair
As well as the fantastic Midsummar Common fireworks display, there's a full evening of entertainment for all the family. From 6pm - 10pm there'll be a funfair to keep youngsters entertained before the main Midsummer Common fireworks display. And there'll be plenty of food stalls selling hot festive fare and drinks.
Bonfire
After the fireworks have fizzled out in the night sky there's the lighting of the bonfire which is always a fantastic sight on Midsummer Common. If you can't make it on to Midsummer Common for the fireworks display, viewing is still possible from neighbouring Jesus Green.
The Midsummer Common fireworks display takes from 6pm - 10pm, 5th November 2009. The event is free but donations are encouraged.
