Rather an obscure location and parking may not be so easy, but it's a stylish and friendly place, making quite an effort. The drawbacks are that the place is still too evidently a converted pub, quite noisy and with rather basic furnishings; and the dishes, which make a distinct attempt to be considered and not merely routine, aren't really successful enough for this ambitious price range. The service was neat and attentive, the wine list quite serious (though high-priced); dinner here was comfortable and well-presented, but not really quite as special as the pitch made for it. Nonetheless, not to give too negative an impression, it's a welcome attempt in a rather under-provided area.
