We've been going to this Loch Fyne for years and have never had a bad meal, but then we've only had seafood there so can't comment on the steaks etc.

Really welcoming venue; it's simply done with lots of blonde wood and an airy interior. Think Danish.

Got to say that over the years the staff have been universally excellent, always friendly and they know their stuff. Don't know how they get such consistently good people working there but it's definitely one of the main assets of the place. The location right in the heart of the city is hard to beat, but as it's set slightly away from the pub crowds it's all the more pleasant to walk home from of an evening.

Yes, it's part of a chain but this is how to do it. The fish is good and the prices reasonable for what you get. As standard restaurants go in Cambridge, we think this is hard to beat.

Loch Fyne is one of the better chain restaurants, whenever I've eaten in one the food and service is always up to scratch.
