When I visited The Royal Standard on a wet and dreary Sunday afternoon, I was met by the new landlords - they'd only been in a couple of weeks.
They were extremely polite and their Sunday roast was just incredible. It wasn't expensive and a place piled high with all the usual suspects turned up - it was almost too big for the table top.
This is a warm and friendly place with great food and I thoroughly recommend it.
